The only one that we have to blame is ourselves.

You cannot change the past. So, why do we find ourselves so drawn to it? Is it the fact that we, as human beings, realize that every mistake, every bad incident or negative emotional experience we have personally lived through, happened to us in the past. We find ourselves compelled, at times, to recall the very moment it all went wrong for us.

Sometimes, it's hard for us to stop thinking about that one moment, where if you had done this instead of that, things would be different. It is completely up to us, of course, to change everything… if we want to. We'd go back to that instant, and fix that one thing that we dwell upon - say or do something to make things better in the past - for your life now.

Bad things do happen to all of us. After all… we all suffer the same pain, just in our own individual way. It has always been a choice that we, ourselves, have made. Because at the core, our experience in the now - at these very moments - are the sum of all the decisions we make.

Including the decision to read what I am about to say to you.

Focus on this moment - right now - and don't be afraid to let go of those fears you have to face. Release the burden of buried pains that you can't seem to find redemption for. It's ok… just for this moment, let them go… right now.

What ever happened yesterday or a thousand years ago or at the dawn of creation, is meaningless at this instant. Just you and this one little thought…

Forgive yourself.

Remember. The only person that you can truly depend upon is yourself. When it seems that everyone else is out to get you, the only one that we can rely upon is ourselves. When we suffer the pain and indignation that others push upon us, the only one we have to blame is ourselves.

Even though we all make our own mistakes, you cannot continue to punish yourself for poor choices you have made in the past. So forgive yourself and commit to making a new start for yourself. Right now.

All you have to do is step beyond the self-imposed veils to find the person you really are. Rather than give in to the constant distractions that keep us from being the best person we can be, you can discover the true message all of us need to focus upon. You have power, You have worth, You are important and yes, You have control!

No one is satisfied with their lives. We always want more… more money and more things. We're constantly being told that without these things, we won't be happy. We feed into the mass media marketing message because we think that is the easy path to happiness. Just watch your TV and follow the other sheep. Distract yourself from what is truly important about life, and you'll be happy.

Even those distractions cannot hide the constant background noise of fear and failure that permeates your thoughts. We continually regress to those earlier choices that have led to the negative feelings we reside in at this moment. Yet in looking back at what we have done, or what's been done to us, we forget one important fact.

What we do with our life really counts for something.

Everything we do has an impact on not only our own lives, but the lives of everyone around us. Humanity, as a collective species, has yet to discover the all, of the farthest reaches of the cosmos. Nor have we plumbed the deepest depths of subatomic space, to discover what truly lies beneath.

Yet we exist in both domains. We choose, in this domain, to fight each other for the most inconsequential things. To harm or injure one another because we want to have a feeling of power and control. More importantly, we fight ourselves, even sometimes hate one's own self, when we realize that the only person you need to take power and control over, is You.

We all know the changes we would like to make within ourselves - to better ourselves - yet we continually choose to ignore them.

We blind ourselves with as many distractions to overcome the pain of self-loathing, without taking note that there may be a far easier path. Drugs, television, the Internet, obesity, religion, money and the ever present bombardment of advertisements in every phase of our existence, all merely substitute the reality that we all fear to face.

Why would you choose to exist in that mode for so long? The answer isn't in constantly thinking, and talking about everything negatively, over and over again. The answer lies in making a choice, right now, to improve your existence.

Awareness.

We all feel trapped. We are caught between thinking about things we can't change in the past and things that might happen in the future. Every one of us has an underlying feeling of being locked into patterns that are completely out of control. Confined by the knowledge that we really don't know anything and can't do anything about it.

That awareness, more than anything else in your "being", should make you begin to ask a lot of questions… starting with, Why?

Everything that we "believe" in, was originally thought up by one of us, a human being, in the past. At some point before this moment, someone asked this very question, Why, and passed his answers along through the centuries. It's the most important question we all ask at every crisis in our lives. Why? Why Me?

The problem isn't in the fact that we ask this question, but why we choose to refuse to answer that question for ourselves. We fear the truth we bottle inside us. Every answer we seek lies within, every solution to all of our problems are inside each of us. But we stifle those answers out of fear.

Remember, the person that wrote the very words that you are reading right now, had to overcome their greatest personal fear just to write them. You are now in possession of someone else's perspective on the realms we exist in. It's no different than anyone else's, except in one important fact.

We exist at this moment. Not yesterday, not tomorrow but right now.

Our lives are so simple, yet we all choose to completely overcomplicate everything. We are here, now. But you're afraid. We are thinking beings, individuals with extraordinary powers to adapt. Yet we fear most the one thing that holds each of us back. Change.

Starting with the way we perceive ourselves. We label ourselves. We label ourselves by our parents or by our children. We label ourselves by the money we make, the job we do, the car we drive and the beer we drink. We label ourselves by the god we follow and the people we elect. We label ourselves by the feelings that we feel and the things we do to ourselves to feel this way.

We blame everybody else for our problems. It's our parent's fault, or our children's fault. It's the government's fault, or my boss's fault, or my employee's fault. We never take personal responsibility for anything, and always seek to push the blame away from You.

All of which holds us back, as an individual and as a species. Everything is connected. You are as connected to those things that you treasure most, as you are to those things you know nothing about. Your life has meaning to you, and to everything else around you. The things that you do in your life have impact and importance.

Once you accept this notion, you will begin to see things differently.

Many people believe that an entity created everything. No matter what particular way you may believe that, generally each of us believes that at some point, in the past, something did something to start everything going, one way or another. We exist.

At the same time, we all do things to destroy ourselves every day, collectively and individually, one way or another. Collectively, we divide ourselves from one another based on the labels and beliefs that we all artificially impose on ourselves. We'd rather believe in what everyone else thinks than to choose to think and believe in yourself.

Individually, we put ourselves into patterns that "we think" we should be in, without considering all of our alternatives. Little time is spent thinking about the real reasons why we are here. Again, we cloak ourselves in distractions without taking that one step beyond to see what life is really all about.

After all, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. There is an energy unique to me, that I carry inside of me, that is who I am. That energy drives me, carries my thoughts and my feelings, and powers my existence. I don't know where that energy comes from, nor do I know where that energy will go when this body ceases to breathe. But energy can neither be created nor destroyed.

How can anyone say what happens to us after this body stops breathing. No one knows. No one can know. Yet we will follow one another into meaningless slaughter because someone believes something different than we do. Why do we keep doing this to ourselves?

What's more, do we really believe what someone else - anyone else - is preaching? Because we, as humans, just don't act that way at all. We seek redemption, yet we continue to behave in conflict with our beliefs. We all sin. We all pray and ask forgiveness from a higher power. Yet we still sin, and sin again. Assuming there is an almighty power that lets us into heaven if we behave, none of us are getting in!

God is pissed at you!

God has given you commandments, which you have ignored. God has taught you lessons, which you choose to forget. God has given you riches, that you trade away for material things. God has told you the only thing you have to do is Love Yourself and Your Fellow Humans, and You choose not to listen.

We find ourselves trapped between two realms - the materialistic realm and the spiritualistic realm. To most of us, we live in the materialistic realm, interact with it, get frustrated by it and seek peace with it. We spend money we don't really have buying things we don't really need.

We are virtual slaves in the materialistic realm, bought and sold by the ruling elite that control all of the money and make all the rules. We live our lives chasing the things that only money can buy, and sell ourselves to the highest bidder no matter what the cost. We stress ourselves to the limit trying to pay for the things we want, and ultimately hate ourselves for the things we have to do to make those payments.

In the spiritualistic realm, none of this matters. Where we are right now matters… this moment. This is the seed of creation that will influence the rest of your life in both realms. The need to let go and get to what will really improve your life, and the lives of everyone else in both realms.

Love Yourself and Your Fellow Humans.
